The world belongs to entrepreneurs: Advisor Khamo advocates for self-reliance

Kudecho Khamo, Advisor for CAWD and Taxes, on Thursday advocated the need for self-reliance and attaining economic self-sufficiency by working independently while highlighting the role of entrepreneurship.

The Advisor was addressing the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) 18th Chozuba Assembly Constituency (AC) at Chetheba Town Hall under Phek district.

Entrepreneurship, Khamo said, is the engine which propels economic growth and development and encourages the people to up entrepreneurship which creates wealth. “The world belongs to entrepreneurs,” remarked Khamo while exhorting his constituency people to inculcate business at a young age and the need to endure challenges to succeed.

He also highlighted his vision for the community to sustain economically and live a progressive life, proposing a roadmap ‘One Family One Project, One family One entrepreneur and One Family One Prayer Time’.

With the people’s blessings and support in electing him to be their representative, Khamo asserted that he has been working sincerely with a clear vision and dedication for achieving the aspiration of the people.

The Advisor underscored the need for infrastructural development as the constituency has become a developmental deficit one which needs cooperation and support from sections to fill the gap. He touched upon the importance of improving Agri. and Allied activities, education and sports for youths, employment and entrepreneurship.

Khamo expressed concern for healthcare services and charitable initiatives for the people.

In this regard, he advised the party workers to be steadfast and stand together in Unity adding that much can be achieved for all sections of the people if the team is united. Khamo also asked the party workers to get rid of selfishness and live in peace and harmony with each other to form a just and a progressive society.

The need to restore the culture was highlighted where Khamo viewed that culture is not only about dances, songs and attires but the culture of honesty, hard work and putting God in everything.

He also stressed on the need to change the attitude of people from trusting money to trusting God, change from begging to giving and from relying on others to relying on one’s God-gifted potential.

On the occasion, Vepozoyi Theyo, Convenor, LADP Verification Committee highlighted how the LADP came into being by different government and yet he appreciated the MLA and Advisor Kudecho Khamo for raising to the occasion to truly implement and distribute the funds to impact the people on the grassroots.

Vesupra Luruo, Convenor, LADP implementation committee said the MLA and Advisor had brought about change in the system unlike the past and will continusly implement the same with the vision to impact the life of the people in the Constituency.

Earlier, the welcome address was delivered by Vevohu Epao, President of 18th Chozuba Assembly Constituency and the programme was led by Thepukrayi Nienu, General Secretary 18th Chozuba AC and also secretary of LADP implementation committee. Invocation prayer was offered by Zapose Dawhuo, Pastor Chetheba Town Baptist Church (CTBC) and benediction prayer was said by Mudonuyi Veswuh, Chaplain 18th Chozuba AC.
