The 4th Annual Conference of the Toti Kivi Cluster Level Federation (CLF) under the Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission (NSRLM), Government of Nagaland, was held successfully at the Town Hall, Pughoboto, on June 5. The conference brought together Village Level Organizations (VLOs), government officials, civil society organizations, SDPDB members, and stakeholders committed to strengthening rural livelihoods and women-led community institutions.
The programme was graced by Dr Sukhato A Sema, Member of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, as the Special Guest, while Meyazungba Jamir, NCS, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pughoboto, attended as the Guest of Honour.
In his address, Dr Sukhato A. Sema encouraged the CLF and its affiliated VLOs to strive for excellence and actively compete for the various awards instituted under the CLF framework. Emphasizing the importance of sustainable growth and accountability, he called for effective monitoring mechanisms, regular inter-lending activities, and meticulous maintenance of records.
He further urged members to take advantage of government schemes such as the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) initiatives and the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) to expand livelihood opportunities and entrepreneurship in rural areas.
Guest of Honour, Meyazungba Jamir highlighted the need for creativity and innovation in today’s rapidly changing environment. He stressed the importance of capacity building and skill development to equip members with the knowledge and competencies necessary for growth. Underscoring the value of sound business planning, he encouraged members to adapt to changing market demands through value-added products and services while maintaining consistency and perseverance in their endeavours.

The programme also featured an address by Dr Kanitoli, Block Programme Manager (BPM), NSRLM, Ghathashi Block, who spoke on the achievements and future prospects of the mission. Earlier, Yekali H Shohe, President of Toti Kivi CLF, delivered the welcome address and warmly received the dignitaries and participants.
One of the major highlights of the conference was the presentation of awards to the best-performing Village Level Organizations in recognition of their outstanding contributions and achievements. Cultural performances added colour to the event, with folk songs presented by Lopivi VLO and Yevuqai VLO, Mishilimi, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the area.
The programme was jointly chaired by Kanili A Wotsa and Shetoli K Sheqi, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Yevili Y Sheqi, General Secretary of the CLF, expressed gratitude to all participants, organizers, and supporters for contributing to the success of the conference.
With enthusiastic participation from members and stakeholders, the conference ended on a high note, reflecting the growing strength and potential of community-based institutions under the Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission.
