The Office of the Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer, Chumoukedima, successfully conducted district-level training programmes for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and Booth Level Agents (BLAs) as part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 of the electoral roll from July 16 to 18 at the DC office conference Hall, Chumoukedima.
The sessions were led by the District Master Trainer and Assistant Programmer and SDO Chumoukedima, Shreyansee, who served as resource persons. The programme focused on equipping BLOs with the knowledge and skills required for effective implementation of the SIR process. Attendance records and photographs of the training have been submitted to the Chief Electoral Officer, Nagaland.
Subsequently, a district-level training programme for Booth Level Agents (BLAs) was held on July 21, 2026. The meeting commenced with a welcome address by the Assistant Election Officer (In-charge), who highlighted the significance of the Special Intensive Revision and the importance of timely and accurate electoral roll management.

During the training, participants were briefed on the objectives of SIR, the roles and responsibilities of BLAs, implementation timelines, procedures for assisting eligible electors in filing claims and objections, and coordination with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and Electoral Registration Officers (EROs). The District Master Trainer and Assistant and SDO Chumoukedima, also provided guidance on operational procedures and the use of the relevant election portal.
The programme concluded with an interactive session, during which participants were urged to carry out their responsibilities diligently and ensure strict adherence to the Election Commission’s guidelines for the successful conduct of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026.
