Runway India conducted a specialized training programme on Banana Fibre product making for students at Mount Moriah School and Senayangba Govt Hr Sec School in Ungma, followed by a session at Cornerstone Hr Sec School in Zunheboto on September 3 and 4.

The Initiative aimed to empower students with practical skills in sustainable craftsmanship, utilizing banana fibre, a resource abundant in the region, informed a press release by Runway India. Participants engaged in hands on activities, learning techniques to transform banana fibre into various products, thereby promoting environmental sustainability and entrepreneurial opportunities.

The training not only highlighted the versatility of banana fibres but also emphasized the importance of traditional crafts in modern economies, stated the press release. Students expressed enthusiasm for the skill acquired, looking forward to applying them in future endeavors.
