A training programme for field functionaries and Census Officials on the preparation of the Town and Village Directory (TVD) for the District Census Handbook (DCHB), Census 2027, was held at the DPDB Hall, Longleng on September 23.

The programme was chaired by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Longleng, Thungchanbemo Tungoe, and attended by Census Officials and Field Functionaries from all Census Circles of the district.

In his opening remarks, the Chairman welcomed the participants and highlighted the importance of the DCHB as a valuable statistical and reference document. He stressed the need for utmost sincerity, accuracy and commitment in the collection and verification of data and expressed confidence in the officials and functionaries in carrying out their responsibilities effectively.

The training was led by Imkongnungsang, Deputy Director, Directorate of Census Operations, Nagaland, along with, Moanungsang and Dauom. The trainers provided detailed guidance on the procedures and requirements for the preparation of the Town and Village Directory.

The intensive and interactive training provided the participants with a better understanding of the data collection and verification process. The programme concluded with an emphasis on accurate, complete and reliable data for the successful preparation of the DCHB under Census 2027.
