The incident area, despite preventive measures such as installation of rockfall barriers by the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL), continues to be flagged as a high-risk zone especially during the monsoon season. Frequent rockfalls and landslides have made the stretch particularly dangerous following episodes of continuous rainfall.

Authorities have reiterated the need for heightened caution in the area and have urged commuters to remain vigilant during this season.
