Tseminyu District Badminton Tournament was held on July 17 and 18 at Indoor Badminton Stadium, Tseminyu organised by Tseminyu District Badminton Association in collaboration with District Administration and Sankalp-DHEW Tseminyu, Social Welfare Department. The two days tournament was graced by Gwaruno Khing, Managing Director, WEAFED and DPO Shamator and Joint Secretary (NBA), Er Moamongba Longchari as closing guest respectively.

Both the special guest stressed on the importance of keeping oneself a way from Alcohol, Drugs and other abusive substance which may hinder one’s career and future prospects as an exceptional sportsperson. They further motivated the players to forge ahead despite failures and setbacks as winning and losing are part of the game.

The program was chaired by General Secretary TDBA, Dr Lilongchem Thyug, welcome address was delivered by President TDBA, Roben Messen while vote of thanks was pronounced by AZ Obed Magh, Sr Vice President, Tseminyu District Badminton Association.

Additionally, the TDBA also successfully conducted one-week coaching camp under the mentorship of Bentilo Kath (BAI certified Coach) where altogether 34 school children attended the camp. The coaching camp is also an annual event of TDBA where special focus is given to Scouts young talents.
