The Tikhir Students’ Union Kohima (TSUK) organised its Annual Session cum Career Guidance Programme on August 22 at the State Academy Hall, Kohima. YP Chillio Kham, State Information Commissioner Government of Nagaland was the Special Guest, while T Jongsen, Secretariat Assistant, Government of Nagaland, was the Resource Person. The programme brought together students, leaders and invited guests with a focus on student achievement, career guidance and personal development.
The first session was compered by Limreshe Y and Lemsuthong N.
The programme began with an invocation by Tsüsuthong Y, Youth Pastor, TBCK, followed by a welcome address by Zisekyu T Chirr, President, TSUK.
The opening session featured an exhortation by Y Torepkiu, President, Tikhir Union, Kohima, who encouraged students to remain committed to their studies and future aspirations. This was followed by a song presentation, “One Moment in Time,” by Lenvishe S.
The programme further included the presentation of the Meritorious Award by Wongtikiu S, Vice President, TSUK, recognising and encouraging students for their academic achievements. A statistical report was presented by Yukhianmong M, Statistical Secretary, TSUK, followed by a prayer for the students led by YT Tsinthong, Pastor, TBCK.

YP Chillio Kham, in his address, encouraged the students to pursue their aspirations with dedication, responsibility and a clear sense of purpose.
The first session concluded with a vote of thanks by P Tochumong Tikhir, Executive Secretary, TSUK.
The programme then proceeded to the Career Guidance Seminar, hosted by Khiavito TY, which included the Freshers’ Introductory Hour and seminar on the topic “Beyond Degrees, Choosing the Right Career Path” by T Jongsen, Secretariat Assistant, Government of Nagaland, who shared insights on career planning and the importance of looking beyond academic qualifications when preparing for the future. Students were encouraged to identify their interests, develop relevant skills and make informed decisions regarding their career paths.
The programme also featured an interaction hour, followed by a song presentation, “Lonely People,” by Vitsumong and Khealin.
The programme concluded with the benediction by Atsula, Women Pastor.
The Annual Session cum Career Guidance Programme organised by the Tikhir Students’ Union Kohima (TSUK) served as a platform for recognizing student achievements, providing career guidance and encouraging students to make informed educational and career choices. The event also reflected the Union’s commitment to the educational, personal and overall development of students.
