The Thenyizumi Students’ Union Kohima (TSUK) will host its 31st General Session and Freshers’ Social 2026 on August 22, at the Baptist High Auditorium, Mission Compound, Kohima.

The programme will be held under the theme, “Cultivating Minds, Strengthening Communities,” with Commandant of the 10th NAP (IR) Battalion, Zhadima, Kenesa Dawhuo, as the guest speaker.

Zhothiyi Dawhuo, VCC of Thenyizumi Village, will deliver the greetings, while TSUK president Er Vede Dawhuo will give the presidential address. The education and statistical report will be presented by Akhone Nienu, besides achievers’ talk by Kepozo Kapuh.

The programme will be led by Vevoto Kapuh, while Khriesazo Rhakho, Associate Pastor of Chakhesang CRC, Upper PWD Kohima, will offer the invocation.

Other highlights of the programme include a folk song by the Thenyizumi Women Society and a special song by Keluvelu Thisa. The new executives will also be declared by Medozo Dawhuo, convenor of the Nomination Committee.

A prayer for the freshers and new executives will be offered by Vekhoto Thisa, chairman of TCFK, while Ajopuh Swuro will propose the vote of thanks. The programme will conclude with the benediction by Nuhuta Dawhuo, chairman of Bethesda Prayer and Healing Ministry.

TSUK have extended invitation to all freshers and students, parents, elders and well-wishers residing within and outside Kohima to attend the session, while attendees have been requested to wear at least one piece of traditional attire.
