Tuensang: Career guidance seminar provides insights into competitive exam preparation

Tuensang: Students urged to start their exams preparation from basics and work hard towards their dreams

A one day career guidance seminar organised by the District Administration, Tuensang and District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) Tuensang, was held on Saturday, 16 September 2023 at the GHSS,Tuensang Auditorium. The seminar was hosted to provide insights to aspiring students on how to prepare for competitive exams. About 200 participants attended the seminar.

The Resource persons for the seminar were Kamchan Kumar Kandpal, IPS, SP Tuensang, Sentilong Ozukum, SDO (Civil) Tuensang, Kudazo Swuro, EAC, Tuensang, T Ngaku, APRO and representatives from the Emporium Training & Consultancy Pvt Ltd

SP Kandpal, IPS, provided a motivational talk sharing his personal experiences on how he got motivated in life. He encouraged students to put more extra effort to achieve their desired goals in order to shape one’s own life for a better future.

The IPS remarked that one’s future depends on one’s own hands to achieve it, therefore one needs to go ahead with the right direction, dedication and hard work. Success is made up of three things, according to Kandpal- they are Knowledge, Skill and Actions

Kudazo Swuro, EAC (P) Tuensang, called attention on the importance of career guidance and choosing the right career path according to one’s interests and skills. According to Swuro, a successful career also requires “a sense of serving people through their chosen profession, regardless of where they may be posted in future.”

Sharing his success story in cracking NPSC, T Ngaku, APRO, briefly spoke on how he struggled in life to reach his goals and sacrificed many things to go through the competitive exams.

He encouraged all the students to start their exams preparation from the basics and work hard towards their dreams.

Sentilong Ozukum, SDO (Civil)Tuensang, provided guidance on how to prepare for JEE/NEET and career prospects for Science students. Ozukum also stressed on establishing a strong foundation in building one’s career and preparing carefully for competitive exams.

Representative from Emporium training & consultancy, Pvt Ltd provided valuable information and guidance to the students on how they can access various training programmes to enhance their skills and experience for work in different sectors in this highly competitive world. It was covered for Avenues and Aviation, hospitality and cruise lines in India and abroad, and Emporium training & consultancy Pvt Ltd.

The career guidance program was chaired by Shongmao M, DMC, DHEW Tuensang in the first session and Sejongmong Sangtam, DEO, DHEW Tuensang in the second session. The invocation was pronounced by Ronglikhum, Youth Pastor, SBLTT, while the vote of thanks was delivered Toking Yimkhiung, EAC,Tuensang.

The seminar was followed by a Q&A session.
