Tuensang: Sao Chang College students visit Bethel Children’s Home

Students of Sao Chang College, Tuensang visited Bethel Children’s Home, Tuensang on 13th April 2024 where they held a motivating programme with the children at the orphanage and interacted with them. The event was organised by Sao Chang College Students’ Union (SCCSU) under the theme ‘Believe in Yourself’.

During the programme, Mongtsula, SCC shared the story of Esther from the Bible and narrated how an orphan became the queen. She encouraged the children to learn from Esther’s story and use all influences one possesses to help others.

Earlier, the service began with prayer by Chaanglemla, SCC and welcome note from the warden Bethel Children’s Home. The visit was managed by Sangkhumla, SCC.

The Sao Chang College Students team later remarked that the children were disciplined and talented. “They knew how to greet seniors. It was a wonderful experience to be with children by teaching them songs, dance and drama, this noble care spreading smiles and happiness among children gave immense peace and happiness to our team”, it stated.

The students also interacted with the children at Bethel Home which made them feel wanted more in the society. The students also said that it was an overwhelming feeling of being in their small world spending quality time, seeing them happy. The team also expressed gratitude to the authorities for taking care of the beautiful children.
