The Congress Party awarded ticket to I Temsu Jamir from Sangtemla Ward no-11 for the forthcoming urban local body elections. This comes a day after he resigned from the NDPP. I Temsu Jamir is the son of former minister Late Imtimeren Jamir.
District Congress Committee Mokokchung handed Jamir the ticket to represent the Party at the Sangtemla Ward no-11 in the presence of Watimongba Aier, President DCC and Toshipokba LKR, Ex MLA and Convenor, ULB Election Committee, today at the Party Office in Mokokchung.
So far, the Congress has issued tickets to 6 candidates of Municipal Mokokchung Town and 6 candidates of Town Councils. At programme held on 8th June, DCC Mokokchung expressed its readiness to distribute more tickets for the ULB elections.

Meanwhile the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, has informed that 55 candidates filed nominations on 10th June 2024.

- Changtongya Town Council: 4
The last date for fining nominations is tomorrow, 11th June 2024.
