USSC calls on DGP Rupin Sharma

The United Sangtam Students’ Conference (USSC) called on DGP Nagaland, Rupin Sharma IPS and discussed important issues concerning the Sangtam community.

It strongly urged the DGP to ensure an early conclusion of the case pertaining to the death of late Tsalichum, seeking justice for the victim and his family.

The team also pointed out the shortage of staff at Kiphire and Longkhim-Chare under Tuensang police station and requested the DGP for deployment of additional personnel. In response, the DGP assured that the matter would be looked into.

The USSC highlighted the need for more public awareness on important social issues, especially legal education related to filing FIRs and understanding crime-related laws.

Another key topic discussed was the rising problem of drug abuse in the district. The USSC and the DGP both agreed that strong action and awareness programs are needed to tackle the issue effectively.

The meeting ended on a positive note, with the DGP assuring the students of continued cooperation and support.
