The United Sangtam Students’ Conference (USSC) officials, led by Vice President Adekhing I. Sangtam, along with Executive Secretary L. Khumcholiba Sangtam and Executive Members from Longkhim/Chare, inspected the ongoing widening of the intermediate lane with a 5.5-meter carriageway from Chare to Dikhu Bridge on January 21. They also held an interactive meeting with Engineer Imkongakum of PWD National Highway Tuensang and Jumli Geyi, Project Manager of UCN Construction Co. Pvt. Ltd., thanking them for their dedication and commitment to providing quality results for the ongoing road widening project.
Vice President Adekhing I. Sangtam expressed appreciation for the leadership of Rerutso EAC, acknowledging his tireless efforts toward providing accountable and efficient administration to the people of the Chare area.

The road construction inspection and meeting emphasized quality workmanship, public safety, and the importance of providing a high-quality road. The Conference identified several areas for improvement, discussed measures to prevent potential landslides, and requested the concerned department authorities to provide additional breast walls and retaining walls for public safety.
The Conference also reminded that they would continue to closely monitor the project, as the people of Longkhim-Chare and Nagas, in general, need good quality roads.
