VBS for Koinonia Baptist Church Sunday School children concludes

Kohima: 3-day long program attended by 450 delegates in classes of Beginner, Primary, Junior, Intermediate class along with volunteers and officials

The Koinonia Baptist Church (KBC) Sunday School Department held its Vacation Bible School (VBS) from 21- 23 June 2023 under the theme ‘Serve One Another’ (Galatians 5:13) published by the Bible Society Of India (BSI) for South India Biblical Seminary (SIBS) Ministries, KBC Media Ministry informed in a press release.

In the inaugural program Belinda Kiewhuo, Superintendent highlighted that VBS was first started as a trial in 1952 in Kovilpatti, Tamil Nadu by South India Biblical Seminary (SIBS), Bangarapet. She shared that VBS aims to bring children to Christ, educate them the word, train them in Christian living, encourage them to be active in the life of the church, encourage them to witness and challenge them for mission. Moreover, VBS benefits the church body to build Sunday school, build the youth and revive cold hearts while awakening the body of Christ for interest in the unreached.

The VBS, which also coincides with Sunday School Silver Jubilee Celebration (1998-2023), in the Proclamation service and VBS inaugural service, Rev. Zotuo Kiewhuo pronounced invocation prayer and Jubilee Song by Intermediate and Junior students.

The main speakers for the devotion services were Rev. Zotuo Kiewhuo, Senior Pastor, Pastor Medotseilieü Kiewhuo and Pastor Neibalie Kiewhuo.

The Best Students of VBS were awarded to Thejasetuo Seyie and Yilobeni Kikon (Intermediate), Vesato and Rebecca (Junior), Neithozo Mekro and Lakuo (Primary)and Thejasevor and Neitseinuo Rutsa (Beginners).

The camp director was Visazo Seyie, praise and worship by Youth praise team Kevichütuo i/c, prayer and fasting group by Women Fellowship Baby Rai i/c, Mess management by Men’s fellowship Siekra Rutsa and Khriesalie Üsou i/c, Volunteers, class helpers, secretaries, time keeper and transportation by the Youth and Jr CYE dept.

The 3-day long program was attended by 450 delegates in classes of Beginner, Primary, Junior, Intermediate class along with volunteers and officials.

Koinonia Baptist School students also attended the program as part of their co-scholastic activity.
