Walkathon and Bike Rally in Mokokchung to kick start NMBA

Mokokchung: The Walkathon and Bike Rally will be held on 12 September

Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Sashank Pratap Singh, IAS, has informed that the district level Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) and District Administration, Mokokchung will be organizing a Walkathon Rally and Bike Rally to kick start Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) Campaign in the District.

DC Mokokchung informed that the Walkathon will start at 7am on 12 September from the Public Ground and culminate at Commissioner Rest House. Meanwhile, the Bike Rally will start from petrol pump, Yimyu junction, and culminate at Commissioner’s Rest House.

All participants have been requested to bring placards with Nasha Mukt Bharat/ Anti-Drug slogans.

The list of participants for the Walkathon is as follows:

  • Fazl Ali College – 25 Students
  • People’s College – 25 Students
  • Jubilee Memorial College – 25 Students
  • NCC – 25 Cadets
  • NYK – 25 Volunteers.

The participants for the Bike Rally are:

  • Royal Enfield Mokokchung – 25 Bikers
  • DEF Personnel – 25 Bikers.

Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) is a campaign formulated and launched by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, the Nodal Ministry for Drug Demand Reduction, to tackle the issue of Substance Abuse and a vision to make India Drug Free. The campaign is operational in 272 Districts across 32 State/Union Territories identified as most vulnerable in terms of usage of drugs in the country.
