The Western Chakhesang Youth Organisation (WCYO) has condemned the act of physical assault and vandalism perpetrated against its President on the night of May 2, between 8:30 pm and 9:00 pm, at Naga United Village, Chumoukedima, Nagaland.

The WCYO said their President was subjected to physical assault and his vehicle was damaged by a group of individuals who obstructed his passage.

Stating that such conduct is deemed wholly unacceptable and recourse to violence is unjustifiable, the WCYO said the use of physical force combined with vandalism of private property demonstrates a level of aggression and incivility that has no place in a civilized society.
