Women Entrepreneurs Network Nagaland (WENN) continues its mission to empower and support women-led businesses with a successful Financial Literacy workshop held in Mokokchung on 17th July 2023, DIPR informed. The event, organized in partnership with the State Bank of India (SBI), aimed to educate local women entrepreneurs on various aspects of financial management crucial for the growth of their businesses.
The resource person for the workshop was Viliezoto Neikha, Assistant Branch Manager of SBI Mokokchung Town, who provided comprehensive insights into financial literacy. Participants gained valuable knowledge on effective financial management, understanding different types of accounts, navigating the loan application process, and the significance of maintaining a good credit score for their businesses.
Tsuvise Phoji, the esteemed Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung, addressed the gathering during the workshop. He commended the Women Entrepreneurs Network Nagaland for its dedication to creating a strong network among local women entrepreneurs. He emphasized the importance of collaboration and unity among businesswomen in the region, citing the vast opportunities for growth in Mokokchung, fondly known as the “land of pioneers.” The Deputy Commissioner encouraged the participants to explore the potential for business expansion beyond the district, tapping into neighboring areas.

This workshop marks the 5th district-level event in a series of workshops that WENN plans to organize across nine districts of Nagaland throughout 2023. The initiative demonstrates the commitment of Women Entrepreneurs Network Nagaland to promote financial literacy and empower women entrepreneurs in the state.
