The Western Chakhesang Hoho held its official handing and taking over ceremony on 10 August 2024 at the Western Chakhesang Hoho building in Chakhesang Colony, Dimapur. The event marked the transition of leadership from the outgoing team to the new team, led by Dr Chisoi Khesoh as President.

WCH informed that at the event outgoing president Kepfhelhou Koza handed over the official resignation letter, completing his tenure, along with all official documents and files. He expressed gratitude to the outgoing office bearers for their cooperation and selfless service to the community.

Dr. Timothy Lasuh, Pastor of Chakhesang Baptist Church, Dimapur Town, invoked God’s blessings for the new team. Dr. Chisoi Khesoh, the new President, thanked the outgoing team for their good work and assured the continuation of community service for the people’s interest. He also requested the outgoing office bearers to continue their support to the new team.

The ceremony also included the nomination and approval of various committees, including Advisory Board members with Besesayo Kezo as Convenor, Zekotso Mero and Kepfhelhou Kezo, former President as members.  Customary Mediation Board Members with Yietshulhi Ngatsi, Vice President as Convenor and Ariyi Nienu, Sovetso Vero, Virakholie Kapfo, Nusazo Lohe as members and Zashekhoyi Ringa, Former General Secretary and Ruyopoyi Nyekha as Representatives to Chakhesang Public Organisation.

The new office bearers for the tenure 2024-2027 are:

– President: Dr. Chisoi Khesoh

– Vice President: Pretso Therie and Yietshulhi Ngatsi

– General Secretary: Keve Nuh

– Joint Secretary: Vepozo Dozo

– Finance Secretary: Razuchi Chizo

– Treasurer: Mhashekhoyi Nyekha

– Secretary Publicity and Information: Nukuzo Vero

– Secretary, Social and Culture: Ngalounyi Rume

– Press Secretary: Lhikhro Kreo
