The Wokha District Football Association (WDFA) has suspended Nyro Ranpe Sports Association (NRSA) and Englan Range Sports Association (ERSA) for one year with immediate effect from 27 January 2024.

In a regrettable incident, during the second match between NRSA and ERSA on Saturday, chaos erupted on the field. WDFA reported that NRSA supporters breached the grounds during the ongoing match, prompting retaliatory actions from ERSA supporters, resulting in an escalation of the situation.

Under the suspension, the two teams are barred from participating in any tournament organised by the Association. The decision was taken in presence of both the team management and Wokha District Football Association Officials, whereby agreed to abide by the laid down regulation of the Organising Committee, the notification stated.
