A Narayanaswamy, Minister of State for Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, visited Longsa Village, Wokha District on Friday to review the Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS).
The union minister had short interaction sessions with villagers, public leaders, Village Council, Self-help groups, Anganwadi, ASHA, Women folks and various organization workers at Longsa Village Community Hall inquiring whether they have availed various CSSs such as free rice distributions, health insurance, electricity and others related schemes. The villagers claimed that they are receiving the benefits.
Narayanaswamy asserts that with the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the government is seeking to develop the northeastern part of India which is why the Central government is monitoring all the CSS in order to ensure the schemes are implemented properly to benefit the public.
Longsa Village Council submitted a memorandum to the MoS for widening and blacktopping of Longsa Village road covering about 3 KM and one RCC bridge.

Later, the union minister headed to Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall where he launched a WhatsApp-run application called Wokha SAATHI Chatbot, single point Hub for Citizen service.
SAATHI Chatbot is an innovative initiative aimed at enhancing citizen-government interaction and service delivery through the implementation of a conversational AI based chatbot operating on the WhatsApp channel (WhatsApp No – 7005577231).
Ajit Kumar Rajan, Deputy Commissioner asserted that the main objective of the SAATHI Chatbot is to provide a convenient and user-friendly platform for citizens to access government services, information and support to ensure efficient and timely response to citizens’ queries, requests and grievances, to increase awareness and outreach of government programs, initiatives and campaigns and also to facilitate two way communication between the district administration and citizens, promoting transparency and citizens participation.
The chatbot ‘Saathi’ is an automated generated assistance which will run 24/7.
The minister also had a review meeting with all the HoDs of Wokha District which are implementing centrally sponsored schemes.
Department of Health &Family welfare, RD, PHED, Water Resources, Social welfare and PHE Road & Bridges highlighted about the various centrally sponsored schemes which are taken up and ongoing projects under their respective dept to the visiting Minister.
Narayanaswamy urged all the departments to strictly follow the guidelines and ensure that the schemes are implemented properly to benefit the public and also directed the officers to be sincere in their assigned responsibilities to achieve goals and desires of the Government.
