The Lakhuti Eloe Ekhung (Women Union) celebrated its 25th get together cum feast on Saturday at Likya Community Hall with Zanbeni Yanthan, member of Lakhuti Eloi Ekhung as the speaker of the event.

Yanthan, in her speech, appreciated the existing bond within the Union and lauded the unity and peace amongst them. She encouraged the women to take leadership seriously and responsibly as it is what makes the Union stable.

She urged them to take the responsibility to carry forward the tradition and culture of the Lotha tribe. Further Yanthan reminded the Lakhuti Eloe Ekhung to work together with trust, honesty and respect and continue working together for the betterment of Lakhuti Village.

Ending her speech, she quoted Mother Teresa- “I can do things you cannot; you can do things I cannot; Together we can do great things”.

Two special songs were presented in the program. The event the was chaired by Myingthunglo Ngullie and vote of thanks was delivered by Mary O Kikon.
