District stakeholder consultative workshop on Viksit Nagaland 2047 was held at DC’s Conference Hall, Niuland on April 18.

Deputy Commissioner Niuland, T L Kiusumong Tikhir, while delivering the welcome address presented the aims and objectives of the Vikshit Bharat 2047 and said the mission is the vision of India to become a fully developed nation by 2047, which is also coinciding with 100 years of Indian independence aligned with this national vision.

Informing that Niuland being a newly created district will face many challenges and difficulties ahead, the DC emphasised that no one in the district will know the problems and difficulties better than the district administration, department officers, Civil Societies & NGOs in the district and urged all the members present to actively participate in the mission.

A sectoral assessment overview was presented by various line department covering five major pillars of development i.e. economic, social, environmental, infrastructure and governance. Participants also held the breakout group discussion and inputs presentation fallowed by open forum & closing remark. The program was chaired by Omegali, EAC Niuland.
