Freshers’ Meet 2026 of Yingli College was held at Borgohain Hall, Yingli College, Longongkang Campus, Longleng, on August 28 on the theme “Every New Beginning Bloom with Endless Possibilities” marking the beginning of their college journey.

The programme was graced by Additional Deputy Commissioner Longleng, Thungchanbemo Tungoe, NCS, as the Special Guest and A. Chumei Yajem, 1st runner up Miss Phom 2025, as the special guest judge. Highlights of the event includes, encouraging speeches, acknowledgement of academic merit and colourful entertainment activities.

The Freshers’ titles were also awarded, with Nasim Ahmed being named Mr. Fresher and Elli. C Phom as Miss Fresher. Longkong phom and C Amoi were named Mr. Creative and Miss Creative, while L Bhamchong Phom and Inakali G Awomi received the titles of Mr Confidence and Miss Confidence, respectively. The event marked a warm beginning for the new batch of 2026.
