Tseminyu: Winner of the district level Yuva Utsav to participate at the state level in State capital

The Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Tseminyu under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India in collaboration with District Administration Tseminyu and Government High School Tseminyu organized a one-day mega event Yuva Utsav at Town Hall Tseminyu on Monday, DIPR informed.

MLA Jwenga Seb, the special guest, said that Yuva Utsav is a celebration of the energy, enthusiasm and potential of the youth. He said it provides a platform for young people to participate in various community development programs and contribute to the development of communities and for young people to showcase their talents and skills.

“As we celebrate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav i.e., 75 years of Indian Independence, we must remember the sacrifice made by our freedom fighters and strive to fulfill their dreams by embracing the Panch Pran of Amrit Kaal. It is a time of great opportunity for India where the country can build on the strengths and overcome its challenges to become a developed nation,” Seb stated.

He said that the Prime Minister has laid out resolutions for India of our nation progress – The goal of a developed India; Removing any trace of colonial mindset; Taking pride in our roots and Promoting unity and promote a sense of duty among citizens.

Further, the MLA said that the winner of the district level will participate at the state level Yuva Utsav, which is a two-day programme, scheduled to be held in August or September 2023 at state capital. The winner of the State level will participate at the national level Yuva Utsav to be held in 3rd/4th week’ of October 2023 at Delhi.

The events of Yuva Utsav Tseminyu included declamation contest, cultural fest, painting, poetry and photo exhibition.

Earlier, the programme was chaired by Nency Semy, invocation prayer was pronounced by Rev. Tusaya Kath, Superintendent, Nagaland State Council of AGEI and welcome address was delivered by Sole Tep, President Women Club, Tseminyu Town. The keynote address was delivered by Ruokuovikho Chale, Account & Programme Asst., NYKS.
