The Zunheboto District Planning & Development Board meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairman DPDB, Rahul Bhanudas Mali (IAS) on August 7 at DC’s conference hall, Zunheboto, informed a DIPR report.

The meeting began with recap of previous sitting followed by distribution of works and assigned to different departments for the forthcoming Independence Day celebration in the district. Exhorting the members, the DC reiterated for sincere cooperation from all concerned HoDs and departments for the grand success of the celebration.

Major Praveen Salotra, 11 Battalion, Assam Rifles, delivered a presentation on de-addiction, measures for tackling, felicitation of various rehabilitation centers and other sources concerning drug abuse. During the discussion on the agenda for renewal of society, Sumi Baptist Church, Zunheboto was recommended for renewal after a brief discussion by the members. The board also discussed the upcoming Inter Departmental tournament for the year and finalized it to be conducted on September 17 to 20 with three events, Badminton, Carrom and Penalty Shootout.
