19 office bearers of 33 Suruhuto-Asuto BJP Mandal under Zunheboto district have tendered mass resignation from all positions. The members led by also resigned from the primary membership of the BJP.

The members who resigned were led by their Vice President Vikheto Shikhu and have unanimously resolved to join Congress under the leadership of the Nagaland Congress President S Supongmeren Jamir, NPCC Communications Department has informed.

This development comes at a time when the Rahul Gandhi led Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra is stirring a prospect for the revival of the Congress Party in Nagaland.
