The 33rd Chessore Area GBs Association General Session was held today in Kiutsükiur village with Advisor S Keoshu Yimkhiung as the special guest.

Yimkhiung emphasised on maintaining simplicity and truth as one has to inherit what is good from the ancestors.

The advisor also said village authorities and village chieftains are the grassroots and foundation of society and a strong society dependent upon strong village authority, as GBs are the keepers of the community’s customs and traditions.

He also urged village heads to revive the village economy by farming cash crops that are considered best for their climate.

Earlier, the programme was chaired by Mukam and the invocation pronounced by Kiumehan, Pastor KVBC.

The welcome speech was given by T Zhelo, Head GB, Kiutsükiur village while the keynote address was delivered by Tochimong, President CAGBA.

Short speeches were given by Thsuvisie Phoji, D C Shamator and S Throngso, President YTC. A folk song was presented by Kiutsükiur Cultural Troupe. The vote of thanks was delivere by K Throngkiuba, Finance Secretary, CAGBA.
