50 yrs of NBSE: Isaiah Ability HSS wins ANPSA Wokha Inter-School Quartet Competition

Wokha: Winning school to represent Wokha at State-Level Inter-School Quartet Singing Competition in Kohima

The All Nagaland Private Schools Association (ANPSA), Wokha Unit, organised an Inter-School Quartet Competition in commemoration of the NBSE Golden Jubilee at DBHSS, Youth Centre Wokha. The event featured a panel of judges including David Ngullie, Onhyothung Murry (Yuni), Renchilo Lotha, and Mhalo C. Kikon.

A total of eleven schools participated in the competition, with Isaiah Ability Higher Secondary School Wokha securing the first position, followed by Cistus School Wokha in second place, and Santsuo Memorial School in third. The winning school, Isaiah School, will represent the district at the State-Level Inter-School Quartet Singing Competition in Kohima during the NBSE Golden Jubilee Celebration.

David Ngullie, proprietor of Bravo Music Academy, expressed his appreciation for the participating schools. He highlighted the significant improvement in the quality of performances, noting an increase from 50% to 80% in presentation, song selection, and overall preparation compared to the previous year. Ngullie also lauded the organisers and schools for their efforts and expressed hope for continued improvement in future competitions.

Mhalo C. Kikon, CNY Director, Tchuphyangza, also expressed her appreciation to the participants, encouraging them to continue shining and progressing in their musical endeavours.

The programme was chaired by Wonjano Khuvung, Headmistress of Fernbrook School. The invocation was led by Zuchano Murry Humtsoe, Assistant Teacher at Santsuo School, and the welcome address and presentation were delivered by Rev. Dr T.C. Joseph, Principal of DBHSS. The vote of thanks was given by Mhao Murry, Administrator of SMBHS, and the benediction was offered by Tumchobeni Kikon, Assistant Teacher at Isaiah Ability Higher Secondary School.
