80 senior citizens in Zunheboto receive free dentures from IDA

Zunheboto: 138 patients screened during camp, receiving essential dental assessments and care

Around 80 senior citizens received free dentures at the one-day Free Denture Camp organized by the Zunheboto Nagaland State Branch of the Indian Dental Association (IDA), spearheaded by the dedicated Dental Surgeons, Dr Rosy Yhome, Dr Esther Chophy Ngullie, and Dr. Kiyeto T Awomi. DIPR informed that the camp was held on 6th October 2023 at the District Hospital in Zunheboto, in commemoration of the International Day of Older Persons.

A total of 138 patients were meticulously screened during the camp, receiving essential dental assessments and care, enabling them to regain their oral health and quality of life.

This initiative reflects the commitment of the IDA and its dedicated dental professionals to serve the community, particularly the older generation. It stands as a testament to their unwavering dedication to providing vital dental services and improving the overall well-being of older persons in Zunheboto.

The IDA denture camp received accolades from attendees and the local community for its compassionate and impactful efforts in enhancing the oral health and livelihoods of older individuals, the report stated.
