The Nagaland Transparency Public Rights Advocacy and Direct Action Organisation–People’s Justice (NTPRADAO-PJ) has condemned what it described as the handling of the Mangkolemba Multi-purpose Hall controversy and demanded the resignation of Minister Temjen Imna Along and Advisor, S Keoshu Yimchunger.
In a statement issued by its president, Mhabemo Lotha and secretary general, S Andrew, NTPRADAO-PJ said it had taken “serious note” of the prevailing controversy surrounding the hall and expressed support for the nine-point resolution adopted by civil society organisations (CSOs) in Mangkolemba and submitted to the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC).
The organisation alleged “moral failure” and “misuse of government machinery with wrongful intention” and demanded that Along and Keoshu step down from their respective positions.

The controversy centres on the location of the government-funded Multi-purpose Hall Mangkolemba. The Department of Youth Resources and Sports had earlier stated that the project was implemented at the Ministry-approved, geo-tagged location within the Mangkolemba administrative area, while subsequent reports identified the physical location as Longtho village. The issue has led to demands from Mangkolemba civil society organisations for clarification and accountability.
NTPRADAO-PJ said it would closely monitor developments and warned that, in the absence of what it considers appropriate government action, it would mobilise “hundreds of volunteers” for a mass protest until the matter was resolved logically and the demands of the Mangkolemba CSOs were addressed.
The organisation also referred to the resignation of former Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in July 2026 amid protests over the NEET-UG 2026 paper-leak controversy
Pradhan resigned on July 25 after weeks of student protests over examination irregularities.
NTPRADAO-PJ said Nagaland’s youth were seeking positive change and described the emerging activism as a “Gen-Z political awakening”.
