The inauguration of the second Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of IDBI Bank was held at the Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) Conference Hall, marking the launch of two projects HOPE (Healthcare Outreach Program for Everyone) and SEED (Supporting Education for Empowerment and Development). The programme was chaired by MMC Deputy Chairman Lanuakum. The event included a prayer by Rev Temsuwati Kichu.
Under the initiative, the Mokokchung branch of IDBI Bank has allocated Rs 3 lakh for healthcare support through the HOPE project and Rs 75,000 for educational assistance under SEED, as stated by Branch Head, Mokokchung Branch PH Alexander. He said the beneficiaries were selected based on a detailed survey to identify areas of need, along with recommendations from the Mokokchung Municipal Council, and appealed for continued cooperation and support from the public.
IDBI Bank has been operating in Mokokchung since 2013. Its first CSR initiative, launched last year, involved an investment of Rs 1.5 lakh in local schools as part of its educational support efforts.
Under the SEED project, Government Middle School, Salangtem Ward, and Government High School, Dilong Ward, Mokokchung, were selected as beneficiaries. The bank donated desktop computer sets with Core i5 processors, 4GB RAM, 256GB SSD, 19-inch monitors, UPS, keyboards and mouse, along with Canon G2010 all-in-one printers to each school.

Under the HOPE project, six health centres in Mokokchung were selected as beneficiaries and grouped into two categories. The Sub-Centre at Marepkong Ward, Sungkomen Sub-Centre in Sungkomen Ward, and Town Sub-Centre at Salangtem Ward received semi-Fowler beds with sand mica finish, wheels, side railings and mattresses, along with Sintex 500-litre water tanks with stands and Kent Saphire-B RO water purifiers (8 litres) with installation.
The second group comprising Urban Sub-Health Centre at Aongza Ward, Health Sub-Centre at Alempang Ward, and Ayush Health & Wellness Centre at Kumlong Ward were provided with Kent Saphire-B RO water purifiers (8 litres) with installation and Sintex 500-litre water tanks with stands.
