Karmayogi Kartavya Karyashala underway at ATI Kohima

A two-day training programme on Karmayogi Kartavya Karyashala (KKK) commenced on July 1 at the Administrative Training Institute, Nagaland, Kohima. The training is being organized by the Personnel & Administrative Reforms (P&AR) Department, Government of Nagaland, in collaboration with Capacity Building Commission, Government of India and ATI, Nagaland.

The programme is being attended by 40 participants drawn from six departments, namely: Nagaland Police, Municipal Affairs, SCERT, Social Welfare, Health & Family Welfare, and State Institute of Rural Development, Nagaland.

Gracing the inaugural programme, Additional Chief Secretary and Director General, ATI, V Shashank Shekhar, IAS emphasized that one of the most fundamental responsibilities of government servants is to serve the most vulnerable sections of society with dedication and empathy. He encouraged the participants to recognize their role as change-makers and role models within their workplaces and communities. He further stated that such trainings contribute to the larger vision of building a Viksit Bharat and a Viksit Nagaland.

The inaugural session was chaired by Under Secretary, P&AR, Limakumla, and was attended by Additional Director, ATI, Bendanglila, along with officers and staff of the institute.

The resource persons for the training include Dr Rajkumari Surbala Devi, Dr Tanya Nandkeoliar from RIMS, Imphal, and Maibam Warish representing the Capacity Building Commission.

The Karmayogi Kartavya Karyakram is being rolled out across the country as one of the largest training initiatives of its kind in the world. The programme aims to institutionalize a culture of Seva Bhav (Service Attitude) among frontline government officials by instilling the spirit of selfless public service. Through a cascading model, National Lead Trainers (NLTs) train State Master Trainers (SMTs), who upon successful completion of the required training, are certified as State Lead Trainers (SLTs) to further train frontline officials across their respective departments.
