Dimapur Administration launches drive to boost MY Bharat Registrations

The District Administration, Dimapur, convened an orientation meeting on July 15 for the ongoing Intensive Registration and Awareness Drive for the MY Bharat (Mera Yuva Bharat) Portal, aimed at ensuring maximum youth enrollment across schools and colleges in the district before the campaign concludes on August 15, 2026.

Addressing the gathering, Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur, Dr Tinojongshi Chang, NCS, said that the youth are the driving force of development and emphasized that the MY Bharat platform serves as a vital bridge connecting young people with opportunities provided by the Government of India. He urged heads of educational institutions to accord top priority to the registration drive and ensure that eligible students benefit from the various programmes available through the portal.

Chang stressed that the success of the campaign depends on the collective efforts of the district administration and educational institutions. He encouraged schools and colleges to actively motivate students to register and take advantage of opportunities that will enhance their skills, employability, leadership, and overall development.

District Youth Officer, KManikanta gave a detailed presentation on the objectives, features, and benefits of the MY Bharat Portal. He explained that the platform enables youth between 15 and 29 years of age to create digital profiles, access mentorship opportunities, participate in experiential learning programmes, develop leadership and professional skills, and engage in volunteer initiatives related to disaster management, community service, health, and social awareness.

The meeting was attended by Extra Assistant Commissioner Imlijungla, the District Employment Officer, the District Education Officer, principals of colleges, heads of educational institutions, and other officials from across the district.

During the meeting, educational institutions were advised to establish dedicated registration cells, appoint institutional nodal officers, and mobilize campus organisations such as the National Service Scheme (NSS) and National Cadet Corps (NCC) to ensure maximum student enrollment before the deadline.
