The Directorate of Economics and Statistics (DES), Nagaland will organise a Statewide Child Aadhaar Enrolment Camp for children aged 0–5 years from August 3 to 14, 2026, in compliance with a directive issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI).

The enrolment camps will be conducted at the Directorate of Economics and Statistics in Kohima and at District Economics and Statistics Offices (DESOs) across the state.

The initiative aims to facilitate Aadhaar-linked birth registration for children below five years, ensuring that every child is registered at birth and linked with Aadhaar.

According to the department, early enrolment in the national identity system will help ensure children’s inclusion in various government services and welfare schemes while also supporting better planning and implementation of child-centric programmes.

The Directorate has appealed to parents and legal guardians of eligible children to visit the designated enrolment centres at the Directorate in Kohima or their respective DESOs during the campaign period to complete the Child Aadhaar enrolment process.
