My Bharat-Niuland organizes blood donation drive under Seva Pakhwada

MY BHARAT–Niuland, in coordination with the District Administration, Niuland and the Blood Bank of Referral Hospital, organised a Blood Donation Drive at Community Health Centre (CHC), Niuland on 8th October as part of Seva Pakhwada 2026. The programme was graced by Deputy Commissioner Niuland, TL Kiusumong Tikhir.

Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner appreciated the efforts of K Manikanta, District Youth Officer, MY BHARAT and his team for successfully organising the first-ever blood donation drive in Niuland district. He commended the initiative for promoting awareness about voluntary blood donation and encouraging youth participation in the community welfare activities.

A total of 31 participants came forward for the drive, out of which 15 were found medically eligible and successfully donated blood, demonstrating the spirit of voluntary service and social responsibility. As a token of appreciation and encouragement, all blood donors were felicitated with saplings in recognition of their noble contribution towards saving lives. The Deputy Commissioner also planted a sapling on the premises of CHC Niuland, symbolising environmental responsibility and the spirit of service to society.

The drive witnessed enthusiastic participation from the Niuland Town Students’ Union, Niuland Area Youth Front (NAYF), ASSAM Rifles, students of Platinum College, Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), St. Joseph School, Gaon Bura of Niuland Town, youth organisations and MY BHARAT volunteers.

The initiative reflected the spirit of Seva Pakhwada – Seva, Samarpan aur Jan Bhagidari, reaffirming MY BHARAT’s commitment to youth engagement, community service, environmental awareness and nation-building through meaningful voluntary activities.
