The Angami Public organisation has appealed the State government to avoid interaction with the Naga Mothers’ Association citing that its members lack credibility and do not enjoy the support and mandate of Naga women tribal bodies.
In a communication addressed to the Chief Secretary, Nagaland, APO requested the government ‘to restrain and refrain the un-mandated NMA members while approached for social and political issues to avoid hiccups’.

It noted that some women from the Angami community were meeting with different authorities and organizing various meetings and seminars on issues of common interests and reminded that the Angami women organization had long disassociated with them.
APO stated that the NMA members work for their ‘sheer personal interest’ and appealed the government to be aware.
