NSCN-Yung Aung Group has informed the appointment of Tikling Konyak as the Acting Chairman and Tolong Konyak as the Acting Vice Chairman of Konyak Region. The appointments were made during an emergency meeting at its Headquarters on 23rd October 2023, Col. Retd. Joseph, Deputy Kilonser, Ministry of Information and Publicity, NSCN-YA, stated in a press release.

Tikling Konyak and Tolong Konyak will serve as the interim authority of the Konyak Region

for the period of six (6) months effective 23rd October, it added.

Further, NSCN-YA expressed hope that under the newly appointed leadership, the Region would continue to move forward with renewed strength, courage and determination in the days to come.
