Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra launched in Wokha village

Wokha District held the launching of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) from Public Ground, Wokha Village on December 1.

During the launch, Nuhuta Tunyi, SDO Civil Wokha and district Nodal Officer emphasized the VBSY campaign’s goal of raising awareness about various governmental schemes. He encouraged the public to engage with the departments and learn about the Governmental schemes while receiving benefit from it. Highlighting the campaign’s focus on saturating government programs and Information, Education, and Communication (IEC), Tunyi reminded that VBSY aims to take the Government Schemes and benefits to those who have been left behind, while Information is also provided to them. Vandan Erui, VCC Wokha Village in his short speech thanked all the gatherings for participating in the campaign.

He expressed gratitude to all the Department for rendering their service to the villagers of Wokha Village. He stated that there are many women in the village who are self reliant and utilizing such schemes will also strengthen them more. Erui also mentioned that the villagers expect cooperation from all the departments like they have always rendered even in the days to come.

Various departments set up stalls at the venue providing on spot services to the people at the programme. The Department from Wokha District such CMO, DRDA, DAO, DHO, ADS, PHED, DEO, KVK, DFO, FISHERY, DWO, ICDS, LDM/DIC, veterinary, DSCO Soil, DLSA attended the campaign.

Earlier, a recorded message of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was aired followed by Sankalp (Pledge) video for Viksit Bharat. The programme was chaired by Albert Patton, BDO Wokha.
