Yimyu Baptist Church Youth Ministry celebrated its Foundation Day and Gospel Music Celebration V, 2023, with the theme “Eternal Praise” based on Psalms 34:1. The event took place at Yimyu Baptist Church on the evening of December 22, featuring Dr. R. Bendangtemjen, Principal of Zisaji Presidency College Kiphire, Nagaland, as the speaker.
Dr. R. Bendangtemjen spoke on the wonders of God’s creation, using examples like the rotation and revolution of the earth and referencing Eratosthenes’ theorem for measuring the earth’s circumference. He emphasized the importance of moving beyond rote memorization, encouraging youths to pursue knowledge through critical analysis and reflective interpretation. Additionally, he urged parents to support their children in their quest for knowledge and set positive examples.
The speaker addressed two prevalent issues in society, urging youths to avoid the pitfalls of drug addiction and excessive mobile phone use. He emphasized the responsible use of technology and advocated against hypocrisy, promoting values of generosity and kindness.

The Gospel Music Celebration, hosted by Suyimienla Lemtur, featured special appearances by “Power Faith” and performances including “You are my Father” by Katimenla Jamir, a presentation from Chungtia BCYM, “The Hard Way” by Tribal Notes, “Soli Suli Lima” by Achet Kichu, “Without You” by Maong Imchen, a presentation from Mekuli BCYM, “Praise His Name” by Toshirenla, and “Holy High Way” by Interlude with Christmas Serenade. Transformative Merriment from the Mokokchung Compound BCYM added to the festivities. The event also included a vote of thanks from Nangkha Lkr, representing the Music Committee.
