NSCW team attends Foundation Day of National Commission for Women

The Chairperson of the Nagaland State Commission for Women (NSCW) W Nginyeih Konyak along with two Members Akokla Longchar and Khekrienuo Meyase attended the celebration of the Foundation Day  of National Commission for Women -NCW at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi on January 31.

Celebrating 32 years of empowering women, the National Commission for Women marked its Foundation Day with grand festivities at Bharat Mandapam. The event was graced by Smriti Zubin Irani, Minister for Women and Child Development and Minority Affairs.

In a post on social media platform, X, the NSW mentioned that the Minister Irani underscored the importance of gender parity in the workforce, emphasizing that women contributing equally could result in a substantial growth of 770 billion dollars in India’s GDP by 2025.

“Hon’ble Minister of Women and Child Development, and Minister of Minority Affairs at NCW’s 32nd Foundation Day, talked about recognising the vital role of women in our nation’s growth, she applauded NCW’s dedication especially during Covid to help women in need,” added another tweet.

Another post by Union Minister Irani acknowledged the efforts and achievements being made in the Modi government regarding Women-Led-Development. Irani stated that the daughters of the country are getting equal participation in every field and are playing a role in the upliftment of the nation today.

“Today, in the sanctum of democracy ‘New Parliament House’, respected President Draupadi Murmu ji has made the countrymen proud by highlighting the country’s development journey. India’s Amrit Kaal is definitely proving to be very special for women power. On our 75th Republic Day, the whole world has witnessed the strength and power of our daughters who have shown their bravery in water, land, sky and space. Today there is a government at the Center which is making new laws by keeping women at the center of justice. With the help of all these efforts and initiatives, the resolution of ‘Developed India’ will achieve success,” stated Irani on X.
