The Pungro Village Students’ Union (PVSU) in collaboration with Government Middle School, Pungro Village conducted a mass cleanliness drive in and around Pungro Village on August 22.
The drive was organized with the objective of fostering environmental awareness among students and the community, and to instill a sense of responsibility towards maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
During the drive, students and volunteers collected plastic bags, bottles, wrappers and other waste materials from the local ground to Village Gate, GMS premises, circular roads, Khel roads and adjoining areas.
The initiative not only helped in making the surroundings cleaner but also encouraged students to develop civic responsibility and environmental stewardship.

The students were guided and supervised by the officials of PVSU and the teaching staff, whose collective efforts ensured the successful execution of the drive.
The Union extends heartfelt gratitude to the school authority headed by Sir Kinan, Head Teacher, GMS Pungro Village, for his invaluable cooperation and exemplary spirit of volunteerism towards the welfare of the community.
The Union further appeals to all community members to be more responsible in the use and disposal of plastic materials, keeping in mind its harmful impact on the environment. It encourages everyone to refrain from littering and to make a conscious effort to keep our surroundings clean, safe and sustainable.
