2nd batch of DCA course under BBBP launched

A launching programme for the 2nd batch of the Diploma in Computer Application Course under Beti Bacho Beti Padhao was organised by the Kohima District Administration in collaboration with the District Hub for empowering of Women, Kohima at DC Conference hall on March 6.

EAC (Dev) Kohima, Moasunep K. Jingru in his welcome address acknowledged the DHEW and the Pioneer institute for extending their support in organising the course for the students. He mentioned that one requires an actual hand-on skill in computing to cope up with the advanced technologies. He also added that this programme is a campaign empowering women and reminded that the privilege few should avail this course seriously. He also encouraged the students to upgrade their skills through this course and become an asset for the public.

Managing Director, Pioneer Institute, Kiviboto Shequi while highlighting on the course said that DCA is one of the most important criteria now to get employed in any government or private organisation. He briefed that the Pioneer Institute impart basic skills to the students including Microsoft office package in addition with Photoshop and other fundamental basics.

Gender Specialist, DHEW Kohima, Vikeduozo Sorhie chaired the launching programme while the invocation was pronounced by LDA, Kekhriesilie Chadi.
