The Ministry of health and Family Welfare has clarified that media reports claiming that no examination centres of the National Entrance cum Eligibility Test (NEET) – Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) have been allotted for the Northeastern states are “not accutae”.

There are examination centres in north-eastern states, it said. There is a centre in Shillong, Naharlagun, Kohima, Aizawl, Guwahati and Kolkata.

Moreover, in the second application window for NEET-MDS 2024 which closed on 11-March-2024, only 560 candidates registered, the Ministry has said.
