Aam Admi Party’s Rajya Sabha MP, Sanjay Singh walked out of Tihar Jail on Wednesday evening a day after he was granted bail by the Supreme Court. Singh was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on 4th October 2023 for his alleged involvement in the Delhi Liquor Excise case.

Sanjay Singh was one of the four AAP leaders who are in jail for the same allegation of taking bribe for granting liquor licences to traders. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain are still in jail.

Upon his release, Singh told supporters waiting outside Tihar Jail that it was not the time for celebration but time for struggle. After that he visited Kejriwal’s residence to meet the wife of the CM.

AAP leader and Delhi Minister Atishi Marlena Singh said, “Today the honesty and truth of AAP has come before the country on the release of Sanjay Singh.” She maintained that despite the investigations and interrogations, ED has not found any evidence of corruption against the AAP leaders.
