Professional Sound Management Workshop organised by TaFMA and IQAC, Baptist College, Kohima held

The Task Force for Music and Arts (TaFMA), in collaboration with IQAC, Baptist College, Kohima, held a workshop on Professional Sound Management at RCEMPA, Jotsoma on May 21 and 22.

The workshop was organised as a followup  of the MOU signed between the two institutions and with the vision to impart skills to educated youths. All together twenty five (25) students attended the two day long workshop which included both theory and practical sessions with  Marcus Geisuo, sound engineer, TaFMA as the resource person.

Dr.Hovithal Sothu, Project Director,TaFMA  spoke on how the department is committed to  providing a platform for the  growth and development of Naga youths toward skill up-gradation. Reiterating on the need for skill based training and education among youth particularly the student community,

Dr. Sentinaro, IQAC coordinator, Baptist College highlighted  the importance of skill based activities which  allow learners to apply theoretical concepts in real-world scenarios, solidifying their understanding and making the knowledge more tangible.

The  guest of honour, Kethosituo Sekhose, Director of Youth Resources and Sports (DYRS) exhorted the students on the importance of  investing in capacity building and skill-based activities and  how colleges and educational institutions can ensure that their students are not only academically proficient but also ready to meet the demands of the modern workforce and contribute positively to society.
