Noklak Museum in Old Pangsha got a facelift recently ahead of World Tourism Day which was celebrated on 27 September.
All Pangsha Students Union (APSU) President, Hime Lam stated that the museum will help in bringing in more tourists as the collection in the museum are unique and much can be learned about the history, culture, and traditions of the place and the Khiamniungan people from the artefacts.
Lam also hailed the Pangsha Village Guard (VG) and their role in protecting the Indo-Myanmar border as well as in preserving the rich culture of the “Frontier District”. The Pangsha VG’s Memorial Hall and Museum is part of Noklak Museum.

Noklak Museum is managed and maintained by APSU along with Pangsha VGs with support from the district administrationa and Noklak Police.
Deputy Commissioner Noklak, Hiazu Meru along with Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Mokokchung, N. Ngullie and Superintendent of Police (SP) Noklak, Pritpal Kaur visited Museum on 28 September to appreciate the developments.
