The campaign rally of Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) candidate Kazheli Tungoe (Ali) of KMC Ward No. 7 Daklane was held on June 22.
In her speech Ali stated that, if given a chance, she will ensure equitable distribution of infrastructural development and services. She also assured to work to empower youth, women and affirmative groups (people with disability, elderly) while also make efforts to create a model ward in the capital with holistic community development in the ward.
Born and brought up in the colony, Ali expressed her wish to work for the betterment of the colony.
She expressed hope that the people of the colony will give her the opportunity to serve them better as councilor. Ali assured to give her best and work with all transparency for the welfare of the colony together with the government. She requested people to give a chance by voting for her on June 26.
Nagaland Minister for Women Resource Development and Horticulture, Salhoutuonuo Kruse described Ali as good human and appealed voters to support her. “She has served the colony in various capacities and now further wants to serve the colony better in higher post, Kruse said.
Reminding that the ruling NDPP under Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio will continue till 2028, Kruse assured that she would work hand in hand with the government and bring more development and progress to the Ward.

The Minister also appealed to all those attending the rally to spread the message to absentees to extend full support to Ali, the official candidate of NDPP to bring development and make Daklane and Kohima municipality beautiful and better place to live in.
Daklane Panchayat Chairman Vibeilie Metha said Daklane is an old colony and must uphold the value of clean election. He shared the resolution as.per the SEC and AKMWP – one man one vote; clean and fair election. He expressed happiness that so far the candidates have been following all the laid down guidelines and hoped that they would continue doing so till the election is over.
Short speeches were delivered by Dr. Kekhrielhoulie Yhome, Advisor for School Education and SCERT, Mhiesizokho Zinyü, Former Chairman of Daklane, Vikholie Yiese, NDPP 8 Western Angami A/c and PA to Minister Kruse and Theyiekielie Tacü, NDPP Nagaland Vice President.
Chaired by campaign Director Avi-u Kirha, the programme commenced with a prayer by Associate Pastor of UCRC Vira Seyie while chief agent Dr David Sachü delivered the welcome address.
