The Wokha District Bharat Scouts & Guides inducted Vineet Kumar, IAS, Deputy Commissioner as District President and Z Chanbemo Kikon, Sr. SDEO as District Secretary in a ceremony held today at the DC Conference Hall, Wokha.

In his inaugural address as the newly appointed District President, Vineet Kumar, IAS, expressed gratitude to the Wokha Scouts & Guides for the honour and also commended the team for well-deserved recognition. He conveyed his desire for everyone to continue striving together to maintain the high standard of work already achieved.

Emphasising the goals, purposes, and principles of the BS&G, he highlighted the organisation’s significant role in character building, particularly for young students. He noted that through participation students cultivate essential qualities and characteristics necessary for their future endeavours. He also highlighted that discipline, which is crucial for any leader or individual to succeed in life, is strongly emphasized in the Bharat Scouts and Guides.

The event was chaired by Rozy Sangtam, EAC Cum District Commissioner (G) with the Bharat Scouts and Guides Prayer, followed by a Welcome Address from K. Abeni Nullie, District Training Commissioner (G). A special song performed by the DBHSS Scouts & Guides, Wokha. The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by T. Ezanthung Lotha, TE Co-ordinator and District Treasurer.
