Tata Enterprise, in partnership with KLEY Enterprise, inaugurated its second Westside store in Dimapur at Aramile, adjacent to the Tanishq store. Spanning over 25,000 square feet, this is the second Westside outlet in the state, following the successful operation of the first store in Dimapur.
The grand opening ceremony was today with Kevithuto Sophie, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, as the Special Guest, and Imli Sunep as the Guest of Honour. Also present were representatives from Tata, Amol Gajghate, and Biswankar, alongside the founders of KLEY Enterprise: (K)ezhawheto Bolto Pusa, (L)houvi (M)ezhur, (E)livil Pusa, and (Y)anpfuo Kikon. KLEY Enterprise, the franchise owners of Westside in Nagaland, derives its name from the initials of its founders.
Congratulating KLEY Enterprise on the launch of their new store, Commissioner of Police Dimapur, Sophie affirmed the Nagaland Police’s commitment to provide maximum security not only to establishments like this but to all business communities and citizens of Nagaland. “This is something we have been doing, and we will continue to do,” he asserted.
On public safety, Sophie said, “We have put up billboards displaying phone numbers of all police stations and concerned officers. In case of any incidents or problems, you can always contact us. We assure you that your identity will be protected, and we will ensure security, which remains our top priority.”
Commissioner Sophie concluded with a call for public confidence in the police: “As part of the Nagaland Police and the Indian nation, we are here for you. Please do not hesitate to share your concerns; we will provide all-around security whenever needed.”
The event began with a welcome address by Yanpvuo Kikon, co-founder of Kley Enterprise. Guest of Honour of the event, Imli Sunep, who is a talented artist with disabilities, was acknowledged for his inspiring presence despite health challenges. “He is a living example and a very good example for all Nagas,” Kikon remarked, expressing gratitude for his presence in the ceremony.
This was followed by an opening prayer by Rev. Vilodi Sakhrie, Pastor of Town Baptist Church. Amol Gajghate, Regional Manager of East for Tata Enterprise too gave a short speech. Dr Ayu Pusa extended a vote of thanks to all attendees, after which the ceremony concluded with a ribbon-cutting.
When asked what inspired them to open a second store in a different location in Nagaland, Yanpfuo Kikon, one of the founders of KLEY Enterprise, shared that the decision came after observing the expansion of Dimapur towards the Chümoukedima side. “After 8 years of running the first store, the Dimapur store is doing really good in comparison to other stores in the North East and around the country,” he explained. “We also observed that the city is expanding towards Chümoukedima side. The company did a survey and identified the location to be viable for a second store.”

Reflecting on their journey, Kikon noted, “This journey started way back in 2009 when we wrote an email to Tata-Trent requesting them to explore the opportunity to open a Westside store in Dimapur.” He added that it took 6-7 years of effort before the first store was established in 2016 at Midland, Dhobinala, providing employment to around 45 youths. “The product, design, and service of the store seem to have resonated well with our people, enabling the business to perform well, not only in Dimapur but also compared to other parts of the country.”
Discussing the design approach for the new store, Kikon stated, “The design is the latest format of Westside stores, which brings in the trendiest premium commercial designs from around the world, setting international standards.”
Regarding future plans for Westside in Nagaland, Kikon expressed interest in expanding further. “We would love to expand to Kohima, but this would require proper market viability assessments,” he noted, pointing out that road conditions would need improvement to avoid negatively impacting logistics and the supply chain.
When asked about differentiating the new store from other fashion outlets in Dimapur and the surrounding region, Kikon emphasized the importance of quality. “Customers come because of the high quality of products, affordable pricing, trendy designs, and very friendly and helpful service. If these key parameters are achieved, along with a focus on return customers, then business will do well.”
The newly opened store, which is three times larger than the first, features two storeys and offers a variety of sections including Women’s, Men’s, Kids’, and Home Furniture, with parking space for 13 to 15 cars.
